AxialBridge is thrilled to announce that our FOCUS Study has received ethics approval from Ulster University. The FOCUS Study (Assessing the feasibility of digital app technology to explore concussion history and impact in former professional and elite athletes) aims to assess the methodological and technical feasibility of administering the digital app (Concussion Connect) within a cohort of former athletes over a 4-week period.

Given the widespread impact of concussions on individuals, families, and communities, there is an urgent need to understand the long-term consequences and identify the potential biomarkers associated with these outcomes. The FOCUS Study is our initial step in mapping our future longitudinal study.
